ENGR-E101, or Innovation and Design, focused on learning the principles of engineering, as well as teaching Python and usage of Raspberry Pi minicomputers.
The final project involved working with middle school teachers on designing educational games for learning about career development. I worked with Milan Hancock and Shreyaj Kankipati on this project.
I worked on the code in Python for the Raspberry Pi and laser cutting the game board. Shreyaj worked on the game pieces and Pi case, and Milan designed and painted the game board.
The game board itself was laser cut and painted, with 3D printed game pieces. A Raspberry Pi in a 3D printed case was used as the "gamemaster." It asked players questions, monitored movement, and overall facilitated the game.
The final project report can be found here.
