Welcome!
My name is Cassie Huffman (she/her), and I'm an aspiring computer engineer and systems administrator. I'm currently a student at Indiana University Bloomington studying Intelligent Systems Engineering.
Working with computers is a large part of my life. I've been using *NIX for over 8 years, and working with computer hardware for even longer. I'm currently teaching myself how to use Unix systems, and I'm interested in operating systems and embedded systems development in the future.
Prior to college, I worked as a Retail Sales Specialist at REI, where I grew my customer service and problem solving skills. I'm currently a Makerspace Technician at the Luddy School, a position which has helped me grow my knowledge in 3D printing, CAD work, and software like Adobe Illustrator for laser cutting.
Through several of my classes, I've gained lots of programming experience. I'm currently strengthening my knowledge of C (which I began learning in CSCI-C291) through CSCI-C335 Computer Systems. I'm also taking ENGR-E221 Intelligent Systems I, where I'm learning machine learning techniques in Python.
